Where we give

At Johnny Z’s we believe it’s important for us to be a part of the community, not just by providing great food but by supporting the things that make each of our communities great.

Throughout the year, we get many requests for support and we do our best to fulfill as many as we possibly can. Come back here often to see the growing list of organizations that we are supporting in our communities. And please visit the links below to learn more about the awesome things going on around us. Who knows, maybe you’ll find a new way to get connected in the community by volunteering or donating!

Alzheimer’s Association of Michigan offers a broad range of free programs and services as well as funding for Alzheimers and Dementia research.

Macomb Family YMCA located in the heart of Mount Clemens, the Y is a fully equipped community facility that offers health and wellness classes, day camps, water safety and swimming lessons and is just an all around welcoming place for just plain old conversations over a cup of coffee.

Motor City Mitten Mission is an amazing organization headquartered in Saint Clair Shores that is dedicated to helping the homeless, the needy, the sick and those striving for a better way of life. They are also responsible for the Winter Shelter in Macomb County which provides services to folks so that they can be fed, warm and safe during the cold winter months.

Relay for Life Clinton Township is a movement dedicated to helping communities attack cancer with the belief that when we rally together in the fight against cancer, we can accomplish anything.

Saint Clair Shores Unified Lakers Hockey Team is a local team that is funded 100% by fundraising efforts and community support.

Shorewood Kiwanis Club of Saint Clair Shores is a group that is passionate about making our community and the world a better place for children so they can thrive.

We also love supporting our local school systems! This is done in lots of ways, but for us most often it’s in the form of donating pizza for class parties and staff meetings, providing team dinners for the athletic departments, donating gift certificates for teachers and we even have lots of teachers ask for empty pizza boxes for classroom projects. Whatever the need, if we can help fill it, we will!

Another common request for support comes from individuals. They may not have a 501c3, a tax ID or a website to link to…but we have so many great neighbors that are out there helping other neighbors. We have been lucky enough to have had the opportunity to provide dinner to families who have lost their home in a fire, who have a sick parent or a child going through cancer treatments, who have lost jobs or hit hard times and are just struggling to make it. These dinners are some of the most important dinners we have ever made and we are so grateful to be able to support our community in this way.
